This project was to upgrade existing YW assets and pipe capacity in order to replace an existing 225mm dia pipe. The works were in a valley in a farmer’s field with tie in connections at either end of the large field. The new pipe consisted of a section of 2400mm dia storage pipes and flow control chambers and manifolds designed to restrict flows at certain time. These are also controlled by actuated penstocks. All penstocks had to have new ducting infrastructure and kiosk slabs constructed in order to provide power and telemetries.
